Parliament Week Signup

Welcome to the registration page for our AFI Changemakers event at Parliament Week UK! If you want to take part in our event on Monday 16th of November 2015, enter your details in the form below. You’ll receive an email confirming your registration, and a finalised agenda will be sent to you before the event.

As with all our events, participants will produce policy recommendations based on the work we’ve done. These will be compiled into an official report, which we will use to present our ideas to members of the international community in the future. It’s therefore really important that you’re available to contribute to these reports after the event. We want you to remain involved, and so attending our event requires you to be committed to this process!

Join us at Parliament to get your voice heard! As a major international actor and with the biggest foreign aid budget ever, Britain is in a strong position to effect positive global change. As such, we believe that the perspective and voice of young people must be taken into account. You don’t need to be an expert. If you’ve got an opinion, we want to hear from you.

This Ariel Foundation International (AFI) Changemakers event will be the opportunity for young people in the UK to come together to formulate the policy responses they want to see from the UK government to the international community. Whether it’s about refugees, foreign aid or international diplomacy, it’s essential that young people push their vision for Britain’s place in the world. Chaired by Julie Ward MEP, a long-term advocate of gender equality, human rights and the championing of young people, participants will spend the day formulating policy responses in working groups with other young people. After the event these policy recommendations will be compiled into an official report which will be used to forward the youth agenda in British foreign policy.
